TRACKS N' TRAILS OUTFITTING COMPANY

Tracks N' Trails Outfitting Company is owned and operated by Byron Stewart.  Byron and his guides have been putting clients on trophy whitetail deer, black bear, mule deer, moose, cougars and elk for almost 20 years.  Their concessions are located in North Central Alberta, about an hour outside of Edmonton.  Hunts are conducted out of Byron's spacious and comfortable lodge.  The meals are excellent and the company is even better.  If you are looking to take a trophy whitetail deer or a big color phase black bear, this is the place to do it.

Spring Spot and Stalk Bear Hunts-These hunts are conducted in April and May.  Although this is the primary method, baiting is also used to accomodate bow hunters needs or those that just prefer to hunt over baits.  Tracks N' Trails has over a 100% success rate on their bear hunts as many of our hunters elect to shoot 2 bears on their trip.  There are B&C and P&Y quality bear in the Tracks N' Trails concessions, although the variety of color phase bears are what draw most hunters to this region.  This hunt costs $2,500 for one week of hunting and includes everything except a 3.5% tax, a license fee and an additional $500 trophy fee if the hunter elects to take a second bear.

Fall Bear Bait/Goose Shoot Combo Hunts-The bear hunts in the fall are conducted from stands over baited areas.  These hunts are combined with canadian goose hunts.  In the morning the hunters go shoot geese over corn fields and then hunt their bears in the evening.  Again we have over  a 100% success rate as well as very fine wing shooting in the fall.  All bear hunts can be done using a rifle or bow.  The cost of this hunt is $3,000 for one week of hunting not including the 3.5% tax, license fee and $500 trophy fee on the second bear.  In both of the above packages, hunters are allowed to harvest any coyote or wolf seen for no additional cost.

Fall Bow Hunts-Our outfitters conduct bow hunts for deer during the last two weeks of October when the pre-rut activity is occurring.  Hunters can expect to see big bodied trophy whitetail at all locations and our outfitters have an 85% harvest rate with the deer averaging 150+ P&Y.  The harvest rate would be a 100%, but many hunters elect to shoot only the biggest of bucks.  These hunts are priced at $2,995 for a week of hunting and include everything except a 3.5% tax and license fee.
Fall Rifle Hunts-During the last two weeks of November our rifle hunts are conducted at the peak of the whitetail rut.  Bows are allowed, but most hunters elect to use a rifle in these conditions.  Whitetail harvest rate is near a 100% with the average buck being 155+ B&C.  For a week of hunting the cost is $3,995, excluding the license fee and 3.5% tax.   During the rifle hunt period, hunters also have the option of buying tags for mule deer, elk and moose.  These tags are sold on a first come first serve basis and the only additional fee hunters will pay are the license fee and a $500 kill fee if an animal is harvested.  During both of the above packages, hunters are allowed to harvest any coyote or wolf seen for no additional cost.
